It's the best recycling center in the area with the lowest contamination rate. That being said, people still drop in filthy containers and trash and other items that aren't acceptable. **Everything should be rinsed out, PLEASE.** Otherwise, what's the purpose? It brings contamination from 🐀. Accepted: flattened cardboard *emptied plastic tubs, bottles and jugs with 1,2,5 symbol. Aluminum cans, paper, glass. Soft plastic is also taken in a separate bin. Not Accepted: styrofoam, egg cartons, hard plastic packaging, trash, to-go containers or cups, tissue, napkins, pots. If in doubt, ASK the attendants! Keep this the BEST recycling center in Oregon! It's a real treat to have it and if we all do our part, it might add up to make a difference. HELP get So OR clean again! Great recycling spot that takes almost everything. Easy drive up, friendly staff, no fee, nice spot next to a skate park.

First, no longer a way to recycle ‘clamshell’ containers and now they’ve canceled any soft plastic recycling. That’s a lot of material headed to the landfill for a company with a supposedly “zero waste” philosophy. They’ve brought back soft plastic recycling. Hooray! Thanks very much Recology!

Fast and easy, we took in a bunch of flattened cardboard boxes was in and out within minutes and a few trips back n forth to my hatchback.

They have a physical "list" of impaled examples of what isn't allowed at the site. Clamshell containers, beverage sip lids, egg cartons, etc.
Not at the recycling center. Deposit return is done at the grocery stores.
It's nice if you do, especially if there is a lot, but apparently no it doesn't need to be. They do want them flattened.
Yes
There's no place to recycle styrofoam in Ashland. Try the UPS store, they might reuse it.
No. I like the bottle drop in Medford. You can set up an account, they provide bags and you just drop off. It’s a good way to avoid the often long lines and the chore of inserting one item at a time🙃 You can draw money from your account like an atm machine with the card they give you. Or you can use it for 20%discount at Fred Meyers and a few other places I believe
I don't believe the recycling center takes any of these things, but the Valley View transfer station does.
Not at this facility.
There is a dumpster for glass here. I don't expect they want mirrored glass but you can ask.
Yes. Booklets might depend on the binding used.
Yes.
I do not know about the wheels but they do take aluminum cans at the Ashland recycle center
No, that must be taken to the transfer station
No they only take cardboard, glass ect, you want to go to valley view transfer station. It'll proble cost 16 bucks or so.
