We needed a new ramen spot since our regular spot is a bit of a drive and this turned out to hit all the right notes. First off, the ramen is exceptional. Everything about it from the options, flavor, portions and price was awesome. Buns and the Japanese fried chicken were also on point, as were the small plates and drinks. We enjoyed everything except for some parts of the service we had. We had 2 servers, one that was very delayed, casual and didn't really step up till the other server was obviously outdoing the original service we had received. Granted it was a slow night in the mid week, so I get it but it's the only reason for the docked star. We'll be back to try and fill in that last star with another attempt as this place certainly deserves it.

Dined in the upstairs bar, bartender was attentive and service was great. The ramen was good. Has the Shoyu, broth was a tad on the salty side.. highlight of the ramen was the dumplings. Overall it was middle of the road. The price point was decent. My issue with the ramen, the broth lacked mouth feel and depth of flavor of what I would consider 5 star ramen. Pork Belly Bao Buns were wonderful. Had a wonderful glass of filtered lechie flavored sake'

The service was good, so does the atmosphere. However, the ramen wasn’t as authentic as I hoped. The tonkatsu ramen, which costs $15, seems to lack few main ingredients of a ramen. Firstly, there’s no “tare” which gives it rich flavor. There’s also no chashu pork, only pork belly. Lastly, why are there dumplings in the ramen?? Keep that in mind if you are looking for authentic Japanese ramen, apart from that there’s nothing wrong about the place.

There was a bit of waiting to get seated but once we were we were greeted a few minutes after. They were a little slow to it, but the service past that wasn't bad, they were just busy. The Naruto art seemed weird as it wasn't an anime themed restaurant but it did look great! The Ramen was good but there was a few things that made it not worth the cost. The broth seemed to be missing Tare, which is an integral component to the flavor behind ramen. Without it, there's nothing to temper the fatty broth which makes the dish fall flat. As far as the noodles used, they were quite stringy, almost like angel hair pasta, it was weird. The soft boiled egg and pickled onions were good adds which added texture but the amount of Chashu added to the Ramen was about the size of half of the egg (see picture below). As this is the star protein in the dish, it was a let down. It did taste good, but I wish there was more of it. Overall it seemed overpriced for the quality but I was quite full by the end of it and I would probably go there again to give it another chance if it wasn't less busy, as I suspect that may have been part of the quality issue.
