Visited the Purple Onion early this morning. Wanted their hot Blueberry Biscuits for my guest. The were cold today, still very good but not as good as fresh ones.

We had the Purple Onion Club sandwich, and it was massive! The quality of of the meats were top notch. The pepperjack cheese was delicious & the bread fresh and toasted perfectly. Delicious onion rings. We both agree, The best sandwich we ever had. The photo below is 1/2 of our sandwich. Just over $10 & we had onion rings! Unbelievably good!

A lovely find for us in Shallotte. Really excellent breakfast and service here. Mere minutes from the time we ordered til it arrived at our table. The cheese omelette was perfectly cooked. Grits were good and a very generous portion . The biscuits had a perfect crisp-tender bite to them, really good! Sausage patties again perfectly cooked, moist and not overdone. The bacon was absolute perfection. And the coffee? This picky lady says Starbucks would have been proud. Dining room is spacious and spotless. We’ll be back 😊

I was expecting something really good being in North Carolina but it was average at best.. if it wasn't for there elite customer service I would have scored them lower. Oh, the sausage links needed to be cooked longer period.
