Seafood was good even though the portion size was small for the price. The Ribeye sandwich left much to be desired. Hamburger bun with a slice of meat. The clam chowder was supposed to be "homemade". Not sure if there was a reason behind the quality of the chowder (above complaint), but it was served as the very thin base with little to no clams or potato, also leaving much to be desired. We were told the seafood restaurant ran out of hush puppies and would be brought as soon as ready, but finally asked for the chowder and the hushpuppies. Pricey 38.00 meal for 1 seafood meal, chowder, and onion rings.

Bowman's is a terrific locally owned restaurant with real down home atmosphere. Staff cheerful and efficient. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our experience so much that we had dinner there twice while on a weekend vacation at the beach. Great place for family and friends- don't miss it if you are in the Carolina Beach area!

Very good food. Had enough left over for dinner. The reason for 3 stars was the men's bathroom toilet 🚽 was stopped up... needless to say I lost my appetite 😒 so we had leftovers.

We ate here on vacation. The food was amazing. My sister and I had the fried shrimp. My brother in-law had the fried flounder and my granddaughter had the fried whiteing. They serve delishous hush puppies with butter and honey butter while you wait for your meal. We were all stuffed when we left! I highly recommend Bowman's if you're in Kure or Carolina Beach.
