I work in insurance and occasionally have to refer restoration companies when disaster happens . I will only refer PuroClean of North Spokane. I have worked with both Kevin and Jerome, and they care about my customers as much as I do, they are professional, compassionate and responsive . They understand the insurance side of restoration and the claims process and do their best to keep me in the loop, so I can advise my customer on the best course of action. They not only are the face of PuroClean of North Spokane they are out there doing the hard work, cleaning, talking with and helping our customers on what could be the worst days of their life. When you talk about companies having your business for life, they fall into that category for me.

We hired PuroClean for a mold inspection and removal due to some ongoing water leaks in the basement of a house we purchased. The mold removal was seamless and thorough. Beyond this service, we appreciated Kevin’s willingness to help us and give us advice on things beyond the mold removal (he tested for asbestos upstairs and gave advice on dealing with animal odor in the attic). He had prompt and friendly communication. We will definitely hire him again if issues arise in the future.

Had Kevin come out and give a second opinion on flood mitigation as I wanted to be sure the company the insurance sent out wasn’t cutting corners on their behalf, Kevin was thorough and detailed and found an area that was still a bit damp and checked a lot more than the original company did and gave me some advice as well as said he is willing to talk to our adjuster about his findings if we need him to. They took time out of their busy schedule and came out same day

We hired PuroClean to help deal with the severe cat urine smell in our basement. From the beginning we had an outstanding experience with this company. The communication was great, they got back to us quickly every time we contacted them. They were always on time, pleasant and courteous. They did a thorough evaluation of the site and gave a very detailed consultation about what to expect with the process as well as the outcome. They were professional and conscientious and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the results. A positive experience all around!! I would highly recommend PuroClean and would happily hire them again.

It's best to replace a hot water tank if it's more than 10 yrs old, if you hear popping sounds when it's being used, or if your tap water has a metallic taste.
Water damage repair companies are often first responders when a home suffers water damage. Their job is to clean up the mess, remove the water, & dry out the structure to prevent more damage such as mold growth.
Cost varies because burst pipes, appliance water leaks, & toilet overflows affect your home differently & therefore require different water damage restoration strategies.
Once laminate flooring begins to warp or bubble, it is too late to repair it & the water damage causing it must be found and mitigated before it causes further damage to the subfloor and walls, as well as to the ceiling of the level below (if applicable).
Using a disinfectant on high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and countertops is a great way to reduce disease-causing organisms in your home. We prefer Benefect, a hospital-grade disinfectant that is Thyme oil based and is safe for humans and pets when used as directed.
Please refer to guidance offered by your health care professional and/or the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention at https://www.cdc.gov/
Mold commonly grows in areas that are prone to moisture, such as the basement and bathroom. However, mold can also grow in hidden areas of the home, such as behind walls, under the floor, in the air conditioning system, in the crawl space or in the attic.
Circuit breaker keeps tripping, persisting burnt smell with no identifiable source, several discolored or charred outlets and switches, or you have old or outdated wiring.
Water damage can occur after natural disasters, such as thunderstorms or hurricanes that cause flooding, from pipe bursts, appliance malfunctions, roof leaks, foundation leaks, septic tank overflows, poor drainage, and more. Flash flooding, pipe bursts, and sewage backups are especially dangerous as they can produce several inches of water in less than a day.
Sometimes! If the flooding was from a clean water source, such as a burst pipe, and the carpet hasn't been wet for more than 24-48 hours, the carpet and pad may be salvageable. However, if the water contained contaminants such as those found in drain water, water from outside your home, or sewage, carpet and padding may have to be removed. Contact the water damage experts at PuroClean North Spokane for more information.
If you already notice signs of mold growth in your home, it isn't necessary to test for it, and you don't need to know what kind of mold it is to know that it should be removed ASAP. Physicians who study allergens such as molds have said that sampling and culturing are not reliable in determining your health risk.
Bleach is not recommended to kill mold because it's mostly water & all molds need water to grow. White vinegar with at least 4% acidity will kill most molds & mold spores, including black mold. Spray, leave for at least 1 hour, wipe off, rinse, and spray again, then allow area to air dry.
