Went for my husband’s birthday tonight. Service and food were great. Only disappointment was that despite reservation saying we were there for my husband’s birthday, mentioning it to the host when we were seated, and mentioning it to our server, the dessert we ordered didn’t have “happy birthday” written on the plate like so many other photos in the reviews showed.

Not from the state, but searched miles for something similar to the Tri-state. I wanted a restaurant where I could wear heels and a dress and enjoy a martini or glass of wine. I got all of those. The quality of food was a solid 8/10. They have an extensive wine book with limited options by the glass but can easily be considered a wine house. The Cesar salad was average, but it was good as it was. The duck for appetizer was dry and only holding onto the balsamic glaze-Demi glaze, perhaps? Duck confit is more savory and mouth-watering, and their veggies weren’t really seasoned; they want you to pair it with the sauce, but something more creamy would’ve complemented the dish more. Moving onto the next, the steak was seasoned well, yet it was chewy. I have high standards coming from where I live and the restaurants I ventured to, so the quality of that steak was priced pretty accurately ($63-70). The beignets were needed to capture the night with the perfect weather and sunset. The coffee ice cream was incredible, and honestly, it’s the type of ice cream you’ll find in Brooklyn or down by the shore at Hoffman’s. I could’ve just got that ice cream for my meal and been happy. Overall, to each their own. I typically only try restaurants with ratings over 4.1 stars and up and write my views and quality, and it’s a solid 4/5

Had a fantastic experience with great quality food. We ordered the Oso and the lobster tail both were great dishes. The chocolate dessert was also fantastic. Our server was very friendly and helpful.

The well-curated wine list was the only redeeming aspect of our experience last night. We started to get the sense things weren't going to go well when on of our neighboring diners had to send her meal back...twice. Apparently, her veal chop was too tough to be palatable. For our part, the bread service was slow. The foi gras was mediocre and sloppily presented. My ostrich was medium rare, as requested, and the flavor was decent, however; it was not allowed to rest appropriately prior to being sliced and it was excessively salted. The side of shaved Brussels sprouts was undercooked, and the sweet potato cake was doughy. My companion's lobster and grouper was a near-total disaster. The lobster was too salty, with a rubbery texture, and the grouper was offensively salted and had a texture that was also tough. It came with a side of risotto that was pasty. The kindest thing that could be said about the salad was that it was flaccid, and I found the dressing to be oily and bland. Finally the service packed polish, good timing or professionalism. In short, if this exemplifies the average dining experience, this restaurant is highly highly overrated.

I highly doubt that they would sell figs...it is a high end restaurant....but they do have a own fig tree.
Excellent. Great spacing.
I am sorry but I did not ask, for we purchased wine at the restaurant.
Yes, just give them a call. The price won't be shocking.
We went to one off their wine pairing special dinners. The cost for good and wine was $90/person
Yes with a group of 8 it would be best to make a reservation to be sure you are seated together
Fig Tree is open for dinner nightly except special private events. 5:00/5:30. I always recommend reservations, not walk-ins.
