7 mile mostly flat loop around a lake. Lots of nature and wildlife and majority of the trail is shaded. A few access points with parking. The main area has lots of parking and bathrooms available.

One of the best trail in the Winston Salem. It is around 8 miles loop trail and suitable for hiking, running and biking. This loop trail is located around the lake and you can enjoy the wonderful nature of the lake while you are hiking. The trail surface is sandy so be prepared when it is raining. There is a dam next to the trail and it make marvelous view for hiking. There is playground for kids in the beginning of the trail. Also there are to public restroom and 3 parking lots in different locations of the trail. You can shot wonderful photo in spring and fall there!

They are doing some renovations!!! My husband loves to walk the trail. There are a few entry points to the trail. Its beautiful trail for walks, cycle, fishing, kayak, or just simply sit and enjoy with family. It also has kids play area.

The fire road around the lake is 7 miles. Single track on the first section 4.5 miles and second section near powerlines 3+ Miles.
There's also an area near the college campus. A golf course is near by where you follow the trail leading to the marina.
Yes you can. Normally there is a charge but it's suspended currently.

It is a loop around a lake that people run, walk and bike on. Not a trail you would think of like in the mountains.
