Ordered to go from this restaurant tonight. Food tasted pretty good however, we received no bbq sauce with our meals & portions were small. Coleslaw came in a small condiment cup & the pulled pork sandwich had barely a spoonful of meat.

Decent lunch. Hush puppies were perfect. The Mac & cheese was noodles on the bottom & cheese sauce on top but once we stirred up it was tasty. I can see where some folks mention that it seems kinda unclean. The floor looks like carpet or flooring has been pulled off so it’s concrete with splash of paint etc. food was a solid 3 stars. You order at the counter & they bring your food to the table. The chicken looked over cooked but actually tasted good.

What a great experience of true American barbecue (from my eyes) I hope my assumption is right. Never have been able to eat BBQ because of the heaviness of it and taste but this place I tried the chicken and green beans which were both really nicely done, not too dry, and tasted like real chicken. The green beans had a nice taste with some meat in it... a little soft but I think that was the style . The people serving were really nice and patient despite my indecisiveness and no knowledge of the food. I would come back here for the chicken and green beans and ice tea which tastes like real tea that was properly brewed.

Locals all know this great bbq spot. Friendly service. Order at counter and food brought to table. Servers will bring you refills. Lexington(vinegar based) sweet, and mad dog bbq sauces among the available choices.
