Been coming here for a little over half a year. It has tons of the older iron equipment that I love and a unique variety of useful machines and equipment (and sauna). The owner and staff are very helpful and welcoming. The gym culture is chill and friendly, very easy to make friends and chat...or people will leave you alone if you'd rather not. Bring your own headphones if you don't like ACDC. (Wasn't a problem for me) Rented a U-Haul once and I had no issues at all. Would recommend.

I've been coming to Banner Elk for the past 5 years or so and was fortunate to meet Marko (owner) and become friends. The staff has always been exceptionally cordial and helpful. What stands out to me is Marko's business acumen and sincerity. This past week I paid for a week access and unfortunately was unable to use any of it as I moved. I stopped in to see him and he provided a full refund of my payment. Marko didn't have to do this at all as I paid in good faith thinking I was going to use the gym. These types of gestures are what create customers for life and generate stellar word of mouth and advocacy. Keep up the great work Marko! You are very much appreciated!

Needed a gym, cause it's my medicine, and this was the only available to meet my needs within a 30 minute drive of Beech Mountain. Albeit, old school equipment it has all the iron head equipment you need. Place is totally underutilized in the early morning, but it made for ease of workout. Fair pricing and ease of access. Best part was I was made to feel welcome early morning by Nicole. Not even an employee, but she was tending the store so to speak for Marco the owner. Yes, Marco was welcoming as well and he will hold you accountable to put up your weights. :) Banner Elk, get busy and start hitting the gym at Peak Fitness.

Great gym right in town! So convenient and it has everything you need. If you are like me and need some motivation, this is definitely the right place. From the owner to all the local great people that go every day, everyone pushes and supports each other to work hard and give it your best. And if you are a pet lover like me, you get greeted by the nicest doggie in the whole wide world! One of these days I am going to take Mr. Bane with me, but please don't tell that to the owner! ;)
