READ IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU"LL BE TREATED!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I called in to make an appointment and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude to me. The specialty that I was trying to make an appointment with closes at 4:30 however online it says that it closes at 5:00. The person on the phone proceeded to tell me I could not talk to them since they were closed. When I went to notify her that this information was not online she proceeded to give me attitude on the phone, cut me off, and be flat out disrespectful as I was pointing out misinformation from their end. I then suggested if she could just pass that there was this misinformation along so that other people wouldn't end up in my same situation, she continued to give me attitude and have a tone on the phone, and told me that I could do that myself when I spoke directly with the specialty during a time that they were open. Service was flat out unprofessional, disrespectful and uninformative. If this is how they treat potential patients over the phone, I am afraid to find out how they treat patients in the actual hospital. I work in healthcare myself, and an interaction with a patient like this would NEVER slide or be allowed.

Was placed on hold for 20 minutes. Asked admissions if my mother was there. The first lady told me wait a couple minutes. 20 minutes later I hung up and called again only to speak to another person and they checked for me in less than 20 seconds. What a absolute waste of time. Not only that but the staff was rude.

Truly have never dealt with more miserable human beings in my life. Rude, unhelpful, and just flat out cruel to worn down patients. Still receiving surprise bills nearly 2 years later for the food that I wasn't given (I ate a handful of iceberg lettuce), the bed I wasn't given (I was forced to sleep on a couch in an office), and the care I wasn't provided (saw 2 doctors for no more than 5 minutes each, both who were rude and unhelpful to me when I needed help and had a million questions about what was happening) while I was there for almost 24 hours. Further, so sorry to anyone who has the incredible misfortune of having to speak with the absolute pathetic excuse of a customer service representative Daphne who was miserable and sarcastic to me the entire time we spoke, refused to connect me to a supervisor, and actually hung up on me when I called inquiring about a bill. Hope to never have to interface with this horrible place ever again. Avoid at all costs.

I have no complaints about San Mateo Medical Center. I found the best doctor here.....10 years ago and he's still my doctor. Here is a suggestion from me, go to the cafeteria and have lunch or breakfast. Delicious!

In emergency yes, they do pregnancy care. If you have medi-cal or Medicare or ACE, they have outpatient ob-gyn care too.
No they don't but you can contact ur insurance and ask to give you a list of places you can go to
End of visiting time at 2100 or 9pm starting the visit from 10am I'm not a hospital worker Im a county worker i take care of the equipment and building I have nothing to do with pacients or medical stuff I answered this question before
I'm pretty sure they dont take any appointments at the lab. Just go there, get an assigned number and they will call you in numerical order.
