West marine as a chain is decent, this is my least favorite of the bay area locations though. It is more of a fishing and marine clothing store than a chandlery. It is small, and they don't know exactly what boaters need for boats... Rather a good place to go to gear up to enjoy someone else's boat.

Good selection and prices - great to be able to see and try specialized items before purchasing. Their order online, pick up in store is great because you don't pay for orders until you go there and see the items.
