I never have problems just have to participate & explain my situation. Sometimes I did not qualify cause my dependents are old enough but the medical is different. Everyone who doesn’t have Medi-Cal always has to be on time and even though the system can turn you away, you have to be persistent & always cooperative & turning in paperwork is crucial to be on time. Since Covid hit, unemployment is tough to communicate and that’s why if certain companies or offices don’t help you communicate well or make things clear & understood then that’s why. Like right now, I am so busy that I need others to help me make phone calls & get the paperwork done. It all depends on you as clients to be respectful, cooperative & helpful & persistent. I found out that the majority out here doesn’t like obtaining information from sources because COVID effects the communication between doctors and clients or government offices. Example: no one can barely get through to EDD to get a statement.

I came to this office earlier today and it was closed. I called the number on the door but they had me on hold for 30 minutes. I eventually saw the nice Security Guard walking around the building and THANKFULLY he was nice enough to give me the address to the nearest office that was open. Go and check the south San Francisco office, they are open but have limited hours.

Reading the comments here about staff being rude af, and few of them saying that they need to hire new social workers who really wanted to help people, made me giggled and delighted! Why? Because all of them are true! Lol!! I sent a complaint letter to the supervisors, to the main office, I think, but I’m not sure what actions have been done after that. I never even got a response letter from them that they indeed received the letter or whatever, but yeah, we have no idea if they’re trying to Do something whit it, change the social workers or at least to TRAIN THEM AGAIN! I feel bad to all the people who experienced rudeness from these workers!

The security person and male clerk in station 1 are like robots. They said the same thing over and over. They dont answer questions. This is my first time going to this place and i found it very degrading and rude. I hope they get a class in customer service. Might as well put robots in there because people will know that you are talking to robots and not humans.
