I've been a customer with REU for seven months now. I've paid my bill on time every month except this month of Dec. because we had financial hardship due to this pandemic and Shasta county moving back up to the purple tier plus it being the Holidays. I was three days overdue and had no money, I was stressed. I went on the REU website and looked up what kind of help there might be for people in my situation and saw that there was an assistance program called CARES. It's where they will pay up to $300 of your bill to help you get caught up. Well my bill was $306.50. I recieved a bill from REU today and it showed that my amount due was only $6.50 and that there was a payment of $300 made from CARES assistance! I am so grateful, thank you so much! ❤️

Why is it necessary to pay a deposit on an account when you are moving to a new address when you already have a deposit on account at your current address? Answer is? I have no idea. We are forced to nod our heads or say "ok" when asked for more and more money. We don't get any friendlier service, better service, etc. We just get what we get and are supposed to feel ok with this because we have no other options. It isn't like we can just shop around for utilities like we do cellphone carriers. You either do what they tell you or you have no electricity, water, etc. I have dealt with this for the entire time I have been an adult and paying my own utilities...I'm still receiving the same poor, expensive, overrated services I always have an no way to fix it or receive better, less expensive service.

This utility company is the biggest RIP off. The company overcharges for utility bills. An individual will be charged 5 to 6 hundred dollars a month for a small house or apartment even though you work 10 hr days and there is no utilities in use. I'm so glad to be away from Redding so I no longer have to deal with this RIP off utility company.

Please explain to us as taxpayers why you light OUR new facility at night to look like a palace showcase. I dont see any use of conservation regardless of what type of bulbs you are using.Every part of the building is lit including inner parts while IT IS CLOSED. This is grossly more than would be needed for even basic security lighting This is a prime example of the arrogance and wastefulness of government. Citizens told to conserve.. while government doesnt.

That figures
I'm not sure but I would think yes. They would close the other person's account and then you would have to open your own which would require you to pay a deposit. If it's possible I would just keep it in the name that it's in and just pay the bill.
There is a deposit equal to 2 months bill from 0revious tenants.. After 12 months with no late payments the deposit is applied to your account.
