Quirk Hotel Charlottesville

This is the best hotel I have stayed at in a while. The design and aesthetics are extremely coherent, modern, and soothing. We were upgraded to a balcony suite (booked through AMEX Hotel Collection) and the room was incredible. The service is also amazing. The staff always opened the front door, the folks at the front desk were extremely friendly, and the baristas at the cafe were great. We will be coming back to this hotel, for sure.

I randomly picked this hotel based on it's name alone. Very good call to spend the night here. From opening lobby to the roof top bar, just a solid performance all around. The room was spacious and modern. The rooftop bar has open air spaces as well as a cool retro vibe bar inside. Great location for local eateries too... check out the tapas place across the street. All in all, I would gladly stay here again.

Love this hotel when we visit our son at UVA - sad it will no longer be apart of Hyatt - they seem to have staff shortages as many service industry places have, but the folks they do have are super nice. I have stated here many times and love pink and love the Quirk!

Overpriced and short on some key details given even the event discount. For a venue that markets for high end events, we were disappointed in a number of things. The good: Everyone on the staff was friendly, helpful and great to deal with. Food in the cafe and at rehearsal dinner was terrific. The gallery and rooftop were great locations. The disappointing: No place in the room to hang a formal evening gown or tux, no iron or board, air conditioning in the room didn't work. Tiny bathroom vanity, no place to put toiletries and the hair dryer at the same time (super annoying). Overall, we would not choose the Quirk to house guests for an event but might choose to hold a party that didn't require a stay.
