Avoid paint department at all costs. Over priced compared to other Benjamin Moore dealers. Most of the paint staff is rude and or slow. Today was the last straw. The gentleman that helped me, taller guy maybe Dan or don, was acting like he was doing me a favor by helping me. Customer service is a very hard job. I have been in customer services for years.However, people like him shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near customers. I would have liked to have given national lumber all my business when I rebuild my deck but I will not and cannot in good conscience ever give National my business. I am sure some people will call this fake news.

Some people find the employees' attitudes here off-putting. Maybe I get above average treatment because I've been buying lumber, paint, and hardware here for over 25 years, so I don't find this to be the case. I find National Lumber fine for what they carry... better than the big box home improvement stores for some things, but certainly not the same breadth or depth of merchandise. Curiously, their range of household cleaning supplies is extraordinary.

Hello Ann, thank you for your interest in Benjamin Moore products at National Lumber. The Newton Paint Manager provided the following answer: The M-1 advance mildew treatment can be added to a gallon of paint or stain. The 089 is an older product which is no longer available. The new product replacement is the Arborcoat Stain or the Ultra Spec stain. I am not familiar with the COBO 18 this may be a product we do not carry. Please keep in mind that product questions are best answered directly by our paint experts at the locations, so please directly contact one of our stores for faster answers.
Nothing wrong with the paint dept. They are great with the customers! And they are very knowledgeable. Don't forget to ask for the paint whispered, that guy is incredible!!
