Was at this tiny but very nice and familiar restaurant in Salem, VA. Literally familiar restaurant since it's been run by Italian family, as far as I've heard from the colleague of mine, who recommended that one to me. I was there today for the very first time and must admit it was a very, very good call!👍🏻 First once I got in there, I was kindly shown the table and then a very nice waitress explained to me that I may either get something from the regular menu, or I may have a buffet. The latter sounded like a good idea, so I took the buffet option.👍🏻 And for a very reasonable price, one may get anything that's served that specific day, and as much as one can only eat.😁👌🏻 The variety of food on the buffet today was very impressive. I had some pasta with chicken and dipped in the cream sauce, some fried chicken wings and pasta filled with cheese in tomato sauce. And everything was really incredibly delicious! And what's most important, all was served very fresh!! You could really smell it and taste the freshness of all productsand dishes. Loved it and definitely will visit that nice Italian restaurant soon again!!🍗🍝🇮🇹👍🏻

Great place! Homemade food, big menu. Several gluten free options. We had pizza and pasta. All were fantastic. Pesto was a big hit at our table. Desserts looked great but we were too stuffed. Was near our hotel. I wish we lived closer and we'd be back. Service was friendly and quick.

I've eaten here probably 5 times in my whole life and thought it was over priced but wasn't bad food. I just got home from picking up my order and paying $24. I unwrap my garlic bread and it has mold on it.......$24 gets you lobster ravioli with TWO shrimp, a side salad and bread with mold on it....awesome....the head chef or owner should really be checking these since apparently they are pre wrapped in foil and left to sit under a heat lamp....the girl behind the counter was very nice though.

Mama Maria's is a great restaurant in Salem, VA and located right off I-81 at exit 137. The service is wonderful, Dominic and his family are true Italians that know how to make the wonderful food of every kind from Italy. My husband and I ordered the stromboli this last time and it was absolutely wonderful!!

Tables are far apart, staff wears masks, very clean. When they have a buffet they require a mask and that everyone where disposable gloves they provide. In short, they are taking it VERY seriously and it shows
