What a great find in rural bucolic Virginia to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! The innkeepers, Ben and Hannah, are a charming young couple. We showed them a photo of us at our wedding and they took pictures of us in an effort to match the pose! We enjoyed reading about the history of the historic building and the restoration in 2013. We thoroughly enjoyed Silver Lake and hope to come again.

Wonderful, quiet place to stay in the Shenandoah Valley—close to 81 but away from the craziness of Harrisonburg. Our children chased lightning bugs and got to explore the farm. Great hosts, looking forward to coming back!

This place has it going on! The area is quiet and beautiful. The hosts are amazing! Extremely clean and inviting. Above and beyond for breakfasts. I can only imagine the future for this venue with weddings and events. Their attention to details will carry through beautifully.

We decided to stay at a B&B in the Shenandoah area on our way back from visiting relatives in the DC area and driving the Skyline drive. Got online and picked Silver Lake. We are very happy we did. It sits on a beautiful active farm with many antique tractors. Ben and Hannah are wonderful hosts. Even watched Monday night football with Ben. When we got there a little early, we met Ben's grandfather and he told us about the amazing renovation he did on the log house. The before and after pictures of the renovation showed all the hard work that was done to bring the house back to life and make this a first class B&B. And breakfast was very good too!
