I worked in the medical field for many years and have dealt with MDI on a personal and professional basis. I would now give this place less than 1 star if I could. I have been seen here multiple times for all different imaging. Each time, my imaging has come back with them saying "nothing is wrong". I kept telling my doctors here in Redding about all of my progressing symptoms and that there is no way my imaging, every single one, could be coming back normal. I finally gave up with medical care here in Redding and went to Dignity in Woodland. Within the first appointment there, my team of doctors was already finding multiple problems that correlated to my progressing symptoms. I ended up needing new imaging done because my doctors in Woodland did not trust the imaging that had been done here at MDI. My doctors sent me to Dignity Hospital in Woodland to get new imaging but they were backed up. So i decided to just have my imaging done here in Redding, at our Dignity Hospital, and guess what...every single image came back with serious issues! This is just one of the many issues I have had with this place! I have been sent to collections for a $25 bill that I never received and was never told about in the multiple times I was in the building. My doctors in Woodland ordered an urgent chest CT and after almost a month of calling/leaving messages with MDI to get scheduled, since Dignity doesn't do this type of outpatient imaging anymore, I still have not received one call back from them! I have told them multiple times that my insurance does not require authorization and that my doctors offices in Woodland even already had the reference # stating that. Everything was sent to them multiple times for the chest CT, but I have not received one call back in the last month! So, once again, I'm sure there is something serious that will be discovered through a real facility of doctors, and MDI will have left me along with plenty other patients to hang! Do yourself a huge favor and take the time to go out of town for any imaging you need. You will be so thankful that you did.

After my boyfriend driving over a hour and missing work, and not seeing my baby 11 weeks into my pregnancy they rescheduled my appointment without a text call or email. They rescheduled it a half hour earlier than originally scheduled marked me as a now show and turned me away. I literally can’t stop crying. I will do everything to avoid this place at all costs.

When I scheduled my appointment, nobody told me I wouldn't be able to bring my baby. The front desk staff was super nice and understanding and talked to her supervisor for me. The supervisor wouldn't let me talk and explain that I don't have childcare right now with my husband being enlisted. She basically kicked me out of the building and told me to reschedule. Would have been nice to know before I drove over a half hour to get there.

I have an above knee amputation and have to have x-rays of my hips for another condition I have. My doctor referred me to this facility to have this done. I called to make an appointment and ask what the procedure was as to helping me on and off of the x-ray table. To my surprise they don't have the equipment that is needed to transfer a patient with my condition, or something similar. The exact response the x-ray tech said to me was... It's your responsibility as the patient to move your body yourself on/off the table, that is their policy. WTH, I asked if he was serious, he was. I can't believe a large x-ray facility like this doesn't have a machine to help their disabled patients. So I will be going somewhere else for x-rays. Thanks MD Imaging.
