Godfrey Design-Build did an excellent job remodeling my kitchen and bathroom. I purchased a condo that was originally part of an older home. Pat and his team at Godfrey Design-Build gave me the exact updates I was looking for: modern, with a hint of the home's old charm. Additionally, Pat and his team were able to add baseboard heating and an air conditioning unit, which came in handy over this summer. I could not be happier with the renovations. Pat and his team are not only responsive, but will provide an honest opinion regarding any design options during the renovation process. I highly recommend using Pat and his team if you are looking for high quality work!

We would like to strongly recommend Godfrey Design-Build to anyone contemplating a construction or renovation project. We had a need and feared the horror stories regarding such projects. We wanted to increase space and usefulness of an old kitchen, dining room, and unfinished porch. From initial contact, things were different with Godfrey Design-Build. Pat was easy going and comfortable to work with. He is very knowledgeable but listened and worked with our ideas. Pat offered advice and multiple layout options, taking in to mind what we wanted and what could work best. Costs were transparent and spread out through project. The project was very large, tearing down to studs and rebuilding. Throughout process we were kept informed. We felt like we were part of team with our opinions and changes accepted happily. Job took a few months to complete. Pat’s team is top notch. Fred the master carpenter truly is a master. He knows his profession and work is top quality. Fred was onsite almost everyday working hard as well as coordinating all activities. He kept everything on track and on time. Team and subcontractors worked tirelessly and were always pleasant. Our result was a new large perfectly laid out combination kitchen dining area, plus a bathroom/laundry. We are so excited with our new space. It is just what we hoped for, and everyone who sees it is impressed. Thanks Pat, Fred and team.

We had construction done on our house a couple of years ago, and although we are happy with the end result, the process of getting there was at times very stressful. perplexing and frustrating. I actually kept notes on what happened during our previous construction experience, as a warning to not go down the path without deep contemplation and self-reflection. When we entertained the idea of embarking on a new renovation project, and we were interviewing contractors, my wife and I were very cautious about who we'd pick. Patrick from Godfrey Design and Build stood out from the crowd, and so we took a deep breath and said, "yes!" Godfrey Design and Build, and their crew of tradespeople and master builder are a cut above what we had previously experienced. They are smart, resourceful hard working and very talented. Here are three examples comparing our previous renovation vs our current one with Godfrey Design and Build. Other contractors: They arrive in the morning, look around the site for what they will need that day. Then they all pile into a truck and go up to Homedepot to procure it for hours. Sometimes this happened several times a day. Godfrey D&B: They arrive in the morning, and everything they need for the day was magically on-site, and they get straight to work. Other contractors: Every time there is a little problem about something, work stops, and they have to contact the homeowner to figure out what should be done about it. Godfrey D&B: They are always solving problems a few steps ahead of what they are doing at the moment. They are experienced enough to deal with issues that don't actually require a homeowner's input. I think we were brought in on one or two decisions during the whole project and they already knew which solution was the best. I guess they just wanted to make us feel involved 🤣. Other contractors: Sometimes, it takes one, two or even three times to install/uninstall something that is on a blueprint and has instructions, just to get it right. During our past renovation that added 3 days to our project. Godfrey D&B: There were no redos during their renovation. They followed their schedule. Based on my past renovation experience, I was keeping a keen eye on what was going on. It quickly became apparent that my vigilance wasn't required with Godfrey Design and Build. Instead of dreading the experience as a reluctant participant, I began to enjoy it as a happy spectator. Godfrey Design and Build renovated a very old and decrepit sunroom on the back of our house. It was almost a full tear-down. They transformed a room that was mostly a storage room for our lawn furniture during the winter months into an exceptional space that gives us so much joy that we spend most of our time there. The crazy thing is we are already looking for more renovation projects that Godfrey Design and Build can help us with.

He was incredibly professional, and managed the project every step of the way, which was great to have a single point of contact for questions. He was patient during the design stage, ensuring we were 110% happy with the plans, and then was very accommodating when we had additional requests come up.
