I can't say enough positive things about Absolute Resource Associates. Our company uses them for all our Asbestos, Lead, and Mold related issues to include testing prior to an abatement or cleaning and when the job is completed we schedule their hygienist's to come to the job site for clearances and any further testing required. Always professional, always informative, and always a joy to deal with in an environment that's critical to home owners, our staff, and the ecology as a whole. Will continue to use them in the future for all our needs!

Biased cuz I work there, but in a word, AWESOME. Best, brightest & most committed people I've ever worked with. Meeting and exceeding customer expectations daily. The words quality, service, commitment & values are ingrained in the every day language at ARA.

Absolute Resource Associates has been a true partner for all my environmental sampling and analysis needs. Their customer service is what makes them superior. They can provide analyses for all parameters including PFOA and PCB soxhlet method. They are also able to help residents with well water analysis.

This varies from case to case, and state to state. There are no laws in New Hampshire (where ARA is located) requiring a landlord to address a mold problem, however many people have filed litigation and won. Cases in which the mold problem is extreme (visible growth getting worse over time) and/or if the tenants are becoming ill because of the mold are more likely to be ruled in favor of the tenant.
ARA’s office in Portsmouth accepts samples for PFAS testing. We have partnered with a specialty laboratory to provide analysis for 19 PF compounds. You will need special bottles for PFAS testing, which are available to pick up at our office in Portsmouth, NH Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm.
ARA’s "Standard Package" for residential well water testing includes the EPA’s recommended tests for the following: Arsenic, Bacteria, Chloride, Copper, Fluoride, Hardness, Iron, Lead, Manganese, Nitrate/Nitrite, pH, and Sodium. Additional tests are available upon request.
If your home was built before 1978, you should have your home tested for Lead. Lead can be found in some paint, soil, drinking water, and the air. Homes built before 1978 are more likely at risk. Absolute Resource Associates provides certified Lead Inspections for homes and businesses.
Absolute Resource Associates does not offer Asbestos Abatement services. We offer Hazardous Materials Inspections and asbestos lab testing services along with action plans for abatement firms to follow in the event that those services are needed. We partner with many asbestos abatement firms in New England on asbestos projects and provide clearance testing post-abatement.
A Lead Inspection is a surface-by-surface investigation to determine the presence of lead-based paint in a building. The inspection may include paint, dust and soil samples. A Lead Inspector must be Certified by the EPA. Absolute Resource Associates can investigate residential dwellings, child-occupied facilities, and HUD housing as well as commercial, industrial & Federal buildings. Absolute Resource Associates also provides lead abatement clearances.
Absolute Resource Associates does not offer remediation services. We offer mold investigation services and mold testing, along with action plans for remediation firms to follow in the event that remediation services are needed. It is considered a conflict of interest in the Mold Industry for a firm to do both testing and remediation. We partner with many Mold Remediation Firms in New England on mold projects.
