Beautiful cruise, staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Isles of Shoals is a gorgeous island. If you visit NH or ME, you have to do this cruise. Definitely worth every penny!

Did the Star Island 3.75 hr cruise and walking tour. Quite simply the best $39 you’ll ever spend.

The tour guide (karen) seemed VERY new and didn't seem to know the area by heart? Kevin was a LOAD of information on the island and on the way back nice tour and a good way to spend an afternoon

Great little two hour trip around portsmouth and part of maine. You get to see star 🏝island, and some other small islands, you learn about the 🦞 lobster business and the history of the area from knowledge captains.

Yes. To stay for the day Star island is requiring visitors to be vaccinated and you need to present your card/proof at check in. Staying for the day (Dayvisit) requires a vaccination card. The Walking tour (1hr on island) does not require vaccination.
We don’t have a specific seal cruise, however, Isles of Shoals cruises aboard our smaller vessel, Challenger, stop at Duck Island to see the large gray and harbor seal colonies that live there. Sightings vary depending on the tide but are generally pretty good.
Yes you can. Drinks in cans or plastic. No glass. Sit down tables inside where u can eat it.
Yes! If it’s going to rain all day or the seas are going to be rough we will typically cancel the cruise. You’ll get a phone call asking if you’d like a refund or if you’d like to switch to a different day. We want you to enjoy your time with us so you’ll come back again. You can always call our office and get a weather report a day or two before the cruise you’re considering. We’ll give you our best assessment of the current marine forecast.
We’ll call you the minute we make a determination about cancelling a cruise. We do our best to avoid having passengers travel unnecessarily. If you have questions about the weather on a particular day you are welcome to call and get a weather report too. We’ll always give you an honest assessment.
Parking is available right at our dock. 315 Market Street, Portsmouth, NH.
You can bring a small cooler. Because we have a NH liquor license no alcohol (beer, wine, liquor) is allowed.
We don’t have whale watch cruises but we will occasionally see whales.
Hi Norm. Thanks for contacting us. Please give our office a call and we can explain the accessibility of each of our vessels and cruises. 603-431-5500.
We do Senior, Military, Group, and Children’s discounts on every cruise. Check out our Facebook page as we will do promotions on there occasionally.
Our summer schedule will be online sometime the first couple weeks of April and tickets will be available for purchase at that time. Hope this helps!
You can walk right into the hotel. The porch is massive and will shelter anyone. There is multiple buildings on the island, but the hotel is open to anyone.
If you mean Star Island, yes. They have ramps into the oceanic and an accessible bathroom near their little store in the lobby. Also snack bar and everything else on main floor. Including the amazing porch!
In the water. The boats go to the Isles of Shoals but only stops at Star Island.
