I used to love living here, but I have to change my review. I've had lots of issues with my HVAC system over the last two years but they refused to replace it, citing the cost of a new unit as a factor. Today my A/C went out yet again and I reported it to emergency maintenance at 7:45AM. Someone called me back, but said that the management company had changed (yet again) and that it was causing problems. They said they would send a contractor over eventually, but didn't give me a timeframe. It's now 5 hours later, my apartment is really hot, there is no contractor on the property (I checked), and they won't return my calls. Leaving residents without A/C in the middle of July is not the only problem here. They also painted over a rusty fence separating the complex from a large pond instead of just replacing it. Pieces have been breaking off this fence for ages, but they won't replace it because of the cost. Steer clear. This place is a hazard. UPDATE: 48 hours later and my A/C is still broken. They ignored me completely on Saturday and only called to schedule a contractor when I called again yesterday (Sunday). I took PTO today to wait for the contractor, who still hasn't come. I've had to move out of my apartment and remove my musical instruments from the property completely, since the heat will destroy them.

If I could give negative stars I would. This complex is money hungry! So money hungry they would not renew my lease so they could renovate the apartment to raise the rent for the next tenant. I Learned in their renovation process they only reseal the toilet and bathtubs they do not replace them which I believed to be misleading. They have no communication, they do not return phone calls, I had to call to see about renewing my lease and the next day had a paper in my door instead of a call back that renewal was not an option. Anytime I contacted the front office I ended up speaking with Dalton who is extremely rude and unprofessional without fail, every time! Come time to turn the keys in and again Dalton was extremely rude would not walk the apartment with me after move out to verify I had no damages. Three weeks past so I called about my deposit as I was not contacted after the 24 hour time frame of the move out inspection. Dalton was sure to let me know that was not their policy and my deposit would be sent to the forwarding address I provided. I asked him to verify the address knowing I did not give one because I was shoved out the door so carelessly and fast, He stated it was being sent to the apartment!!! The front office of this complex speaks down to you, you are not a tenant but just a dollar sign.

I have lived her a year and this has been by FAR my BEST apartment experience. Sabrina and the other front office staff are always accommodating and pleasant when you need anything. The grounds are extremely well kept as well! Jorge and the other maintenance staff are quick and efficient with any need. They go ABOVE and BEYOND constantly. It's the perfect location for this are and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else!

I moved into this complex 8 months ago and have had nothing but a positive experience. The front office staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to be of service. The appearance of the property is clean and welcoming. Jorge Bravo of the maintenance staff is not only friendly, but gives the impression of an extended family and represents Strayhorse with great professionalism. I would recommend Strayhorse Apartment complex to anyone looking for a clean, quite and respectable place to call home. The location is great with convenient shopping and close proximity to easily travel about--being located close to the 101 freeway.
