We had our dog 13 yrs and she immediately went downhill in like 1 month , we had to put her down , everywhere we called was so expensive!! Then my friend referred us to this place , we spoke with them on the phone and we brought Sydney there , they all were so very sincerely caring and took us right back without a wait , they were so nice , caring , understanding of our emotional break down , they really cared and a price of $131, the Dr and staff were God sent , thank you all again so much !!! πŸ™

My two cats have been patients at the Scottsdale Vet Clinic since 2018 when we relocated from the East Coast. Yes, it's beyond frustrating that the clinic does not accept weekend appointments (except for dental cleanings, apparently). Yes, it's beyond frustrating that there can be extreme wait times. Yes, I suppose the front desk people can come across as a little bit rude at times (I just think they're extremely overworked...). Yes, I believe the owners should make efforts to improve those sticking points to provide an optimal customer service experience from every angle. However, each and every vet that has seen my cats has provided them truly top-notch care. Although frustrating, the wait is worth it. The payment plan is amazing. Despite waiting (yes, I'll mention that again!), as long as you are there between 6a and 6p you are not charged for your appointment if you have the payment plan. I've often thought about taking my cats somewhere else to avoid the longer drive and the insane wait times, but I have never actually done so and probably never will. Even when my awesome cats cross the Rainbow Bridge hopefully many years from now and I no doubt adopt two more equally awesome kitties, I would still plan on going to the Scottsdale Vet Clinic. Whether my cats have been there for check-up/vaccines, dental cleaning or other issue, the care & concern that the vet techs and veterinarians have shown is 110% beyond my expectations. They are kind, compassionate, careful and thorough. It's clear they are all animal lovers who want to see each and every pet live to the fullest. They really listen and provide helpful advice. Sometimes, the wait IS actually worth it!

We had to take our brand new puppy in after hours to get checked out, as she had a very quick and concerning change of behavior within 12 hours. The front desk staff were comforting when we first arrived and roomed us right away (as our puppy had not yet completed all vaccinations and they wanted to be cautious she wasn’t wandering around the waiting room). The vet tech happily answered all of our questions, kept us very informed on each procedure/test they were doing and educated us on why, and also helped comfort us/ease our minds as to what was going on. Additionally, when Dr. Kerby came in he was extremely gentle and comforting to our little girl. We decided to establish vet care here given their care and dedication to both our puppy and us as owners during our emergency visit.

This was my first visit to the Scottsdale Vet Clinic. My baby, Koda, had a swollen face and a closed eye. After a day of not being her β€œbeeping” self, my girlfriend and I took her to this clinic on Christmas Eve. Everyone from start to finish was incredibly professional, kind, honest and genuine. Dr. Hodges made us feel that our baby Koda was safe under his care. I want to be transparent and mention we were there for 6 hours (no surprise), it was a holiday and there were plenty other pet parents with their fur kids just as concerned as us. This was expected. There were snacks, coffee, water, and a pleasant atmosphere. My girlfriend and I want to thank this wonderful team from the bottom of our hearts for their care and treatment towards Koda.

How much to extract a few teeth

Debra Lund | Jul 1, 2019
The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Jul 2, 2019

The cost of tooth extractions vary based on the difficulty of the tooth that we are extracting. Our dental cleanings are $320 which includes Basic chemistry/CBC blood profile, pre-anesthetic evaluation, anesthesia, ultrasonic scaling, oral charting, dental probe, low speed polish, fluoride treatment, IV fluids, antibiotic injection, pain injection, and dental x-rays. Once we have evaluated, probed, and imaged the teeth, we can then determine what extractions may be necessary and how difficult they may be. Our dental extractions range from $38 - $228 per tooth. Additional costs may also include pain medications or antibiotics to go home on. Please see our page regarding dental cleaning options with The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic at http://scottsdaleveterinaryclinic.com/pet-dental/

Hi, I'm just wondering how much it would cost for my birds wings to be clipped? Thanks

Thank you for contacting us! We currently have two exotic vets that perform Beak, Wing, and Nail Trims on birds. We do require to have an annual exam on file to ensure your bird is healthy before we perform the trimming. Exotic exams by scheduled appointment are $75.00. A Beak, Wing, and/or Nail Trim with an exam is $24.22, so $99.22 total for the first visit. After that, as long as we have an annual exam on file, each trim by itself would range from $40-$60, depending on if you have a small, medium, or large bird. Please call our office at 480-945-8484 to schedule your appointment with one of our exotic veterinarians!

My dog is vomiting how much does an emergency visit cost?

A Google User | Jul 1, 2019
The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Jul 2, 2019

Our Emergency Exam costs $98.00 for dogs and cats. During the exam our veterinarian and nurses will obtain a history and present diagnostic options to determine the cause of your dog's vomiting. Based on their physical findings and your pet's symptoms, they would likely recommend x-rays and/or bloodwork as the next step. Our x-rays range from $242 - $432, depending on how many views we need and if we need a radiologist consultation. Blood work options for a Chemistry and Complete Blood Count starts at $141, but if we need a more comprehensive chemistry panel the cost could range up to $268. Ultrasounds cost $276.00, but are usually the next step after bloodwork or x-rays. The doctor may also prescribe a nausea medication or give an injection here in the hospital to help your pet feel better while we are trying to diagnose the cause of the vomiting. We see emergency cases 24 hours a day, so please call our hospital at 480-945-8484 to speak with a dedicated staff member that will help!

How much for my 1 yr old bunny check up I don't think he's doing well.

Lucero Sosa Gavia | Jan 31, 2021
The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic (Owner) | Feb 1, 2021

Hello Lucero, a scheduled appointment for a rabbit is $82 and for an emergency exotic exam as a walk-in is $120. However, we currently do not have any available scheduled appointments and I do not have an exotic doctor in office today. Can you please call our office and speak with a member of our reception team so that we can discuss options and/or give you additional clinic referrals to have your rabbit seen? 480-945-8484

Maybe this is a silly question but your services are just 100% emergency visits or do you provide annual checks for dogs as well? first time pet honor =) thanks
