Hi, I was helped by Dr Nelson Matos and his assistant Wendy. From start to finish, the experience was so exceptional, I left there almost happy to have cut my hand open. Wendy was pleasant, kind, and knowledgeable. she has a wonderful demeanor. Dr Matos takes such pride in his work and went above and beyond not only to minimize the pain of stitching my hand, but to use the best stitch pattern/technique to ensure speedy healing and minimal scarring. He had steady hands and a calm demeanor as well. Thank you for such efficient and professional service with compassion.

I went in just after 7pm on a Saturday and the entire experience, start to finish, was excellent. Prompt, kind, thorough interactions with the front office and medical staff and the online check-in was easy as was all of the email communication. I won't hesitate to come back if needed.

Having experienced many medical urgent quick care facilities this facility I strongly recommend avoiding at all costs. They are strictly a cost center center to take your co-pay and kick you out. The doctor didn’t listen to the symptoms around my sickness and proceeded to prescribe medicine that isn’t going to fix the issue but would enable him to discharge. He can’t do anything until it gets worse. The doctor quickly rushed through the visit to just get to discharge dismissing the root issue. Sad to see the medical community enable someone like this to help the broader community.

What types of COVID-19 testing does MedExpress offer?

MedExpress Urgent Care | Aug 21, 2021
MedExpress Urgent Care | Aug 21, 2021

MedExpress is offering COVID-19 evaluations and testing at designated centers to help support our local communities' health care needs amid the pandemic. In order to ensure individuals receive the highest-quality care and treatment, all individuals seeking care at MedExpress for known or suspected COVID-19 cases will receive an examination by a MedExpress health care professional who will determine if testing is needed and which testing method may be most appropriate, including rapid antigen and laboratory send-out PCR COVID-19 testing. Please note that for the most accurate COVID-19 test results, the CDC and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recommend that individuals who are not showing symptoms, but who have had close contact with an individual who has tested positively for COVID-19, wait five to seven days after the known exposure to get a COVID-19 test. Additionally, the CDC and AAFP recommend self-quarantining for 14 days after a known exposure to COVID-19, even if no symptoms are present.

Does it cost money to get the covid test.

MedExpress Urgent Care | Aug 21, 2021

Many health insurance companies across the country have stated that they will cover the cost of testing for COVID-19. However, it is a good idea to check with your insurance company to learn if it covers the test and what portion of treatment may be covered based on the specifics of your individual health plan. For those without insurance, self-pay services for the medical evaluation and treatment received from our medical providers start between $119-$139 depending on the state you are seen in. This price does not include any fees incurred by our lab partner, LabCorp.

How long for vid test results

Lesley Vargas | Aug 21, 2021
MedExpress Urgent Care | Aug 21, 2021

Timing may vary depending on the volume of tests being performed by our commercial lab partner, but, at this time, it currently takes around 3-7 days for patients to receive send-out laboratory results. If you were tested at a designated MedExpress testing center and are awaiting your results, a member of our team will call you once we receive the results.

Treated me terribly. Did not care about my feelings was ignores numerous times when asking for a doctors note to leave bevause the doctor couldnt be bothered to listen. Ended up going into a sever anxiety attack

This isn't really a question, I think you meant to review the place, but it's not really a doctor's job to care about your feelings they just need to make sure that you're healthy, I think you just need someone in private practice. A dedicated doctor, not an urgent care clinic. This place isn't for like a dedicated patient to doctor experience it's meant for like if you screwed up your ankle or something.

I do not have health insurance I can go without health insurance
