My girlfriend saw this on Facebook and we had to check it out. We drove out on a Saturday night. The place was packed when we got there around 530. We ordered our food and headed to the bar. We got some drinks and they were delightful. We ended up getting a table on the water and the views were incredible. The atmosphere was so good there. The food took a bit but was so good. We had the twin lobster special with the seafood chowder and a dozen oysters. It was very good for a seafood shack. I would definitely come back. One of the better places on the NH seacoast!

We placed our orders at the front counter and found the best seat in the house out on the deck! Our food was good, the clam chowder was delicious! And the mango drink from the bar was hard to beat!

I rarely post reviews, never mind a negative one. I took my kids to Markey's because my family had always gone there. We were disappointed. The fried clam strips were tough and chewy. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail had very little flavor and the texture was off. We didn't even eat them. We had a lot of unopened steamers in our order. The lobster was good, split, cracked and ready to eat. I just left feeling as though it was a disappointing experience for my family, considering what we paid.

I had a Groupon voucher so I 🤔 thought I would give this family restaurant a try. In the summer, this restaurant is popular and busy every time I drive by. There are three counters to order from. One for beer 🍺 and wine 🍷, one to order lobster 🦞 and one for the menu. When you receive your order, you seat 🪑 yourself. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Take out available. I ordered the fish 🐟 chowder for an appetizer and the baked haddock plate 🍽️ with fries for my meal. The fish in the chowder melted in my mouth, though I thought the broth was a little weak. The haddock was flaky and cooked just right 👍. Both tasted good 👍! Menu is small, which makes it easier to decide. Sitting by the window watching the sunset 🌇 over the water 💦 was enjoyable. My only issue was portion to price. The portions seemed small on both. But, with current inflation on, well, everything, I'm not going to gripe. A 20 ounce drink costs over $4, but, it includes refills. They were able to process my Groupon certificate. I liked this restaurant.

Yes. Tables have been removed so they are further apart. I felt very safe.

Bad place to eat help staff very nasty. ...
I don't believe dogs are allowed in Markeys unless it's a therapy dog, or registered service dog.. browns across the street might be a little bit different but I would definitely give a call and ask before you take the chance and possibly get turned away!
Because it's kinda cafateria style but you can buy beer there .. I figure it's just too hard to get to phone with all the craziness in there! Great food , nice place!
The fried food tastes as though they do. There is not that icky "burnt" oil taste. Nor does the batter have the darker color of old oil.

They are open I was there Saturday. The scallops were free, huge and b delicious
Yes.
They were open last week. I was there last Monday night so I don't believe they have started off season hours yet. Their website still shows regular hours and to check back for seasonal hours.
