I have found this company really competent, today I even forgot to put out my compost bucket on time (my fault), called in and they had someone swing by again to pick it up. Above and beyond. In general they are always prompt with pickup and kind on the phone.

**Pail is in my kitchen, today is Friday. I got the pail on Tuesday. Been a customer for a year. The black mold that is all over the underside of the cover.....has made me realize I need to drop this company. Cape Elizabeth *I've paid for 2 more weeks but was just told by the office ......"Oh We don't do refunds." I canceled this service today! One more thing.. 8 or nine rings before anyone can answer the phone. Joke!

I live in Portland and I've been using this service for quite some time. It's worth the small monthly fee I pay to save money on city trash bags. They offer a free month of service in exchange for volunteering. Curbside composting simply makes sense along with recycling and waste pickup.

Awesome dedicated staff - local company helping our community become green. I use their curbside service and have had garden fills as well. Highly recommend

Hi Susan! You can request GtG to come to your city on our webpage through the "Get Involved" tab. We also recommend reaching out to city officials to encourage them to provide a composting option for residents. We've worked with many towns to establish centralized drop-off locations for residents either in combination with or in place of a curbside program.
Well give them a call set it up & they will give you a tote & you fill it up & they will come get it from you
Yes, anything that is labeled compostable can go in, commercially or industrially! (I work for gtg!)
Yes, absolutely! In fact, we pick up several tons of dead crabs each week from seafood producers in Maine.
Yes, as long as they do not have a metal staple in them.
Hi Jeanne! We will collect wreaths if anything non-compostable has been removed - this means removing ALL metal and ribbon/plastic. You can leave it underneath or on top of your bucket, just leave a little note indicating you've removed everything that can't be composted.
Hi David, yes, absolutely!
Absolutely!
There is no pickup on Christmas Day.
Yes, you can. :)
We do not provide curbside service in Scarborough, but we partner with the Town of Scarborough to provide three drop-off locations for Scarborough residents. You can collect your food scraps at home and bring to one of the drop-off locations that we service twice weekly, they are located at Maine Veteran's Home, Walmart, and Pine Tree Waste. Feel free to email us for more information about the drop-off program and what you can/cannot put in the big green bins!
Hi Shirley, we do not have any immediate plans to to expand to Washington but we do plan on expanding beyond New England in the not-so-distant future. Stay tuned!
