My boyfriend and I have been living at Camden San Paloma for about a year and a half and have really enjoyed our experience here. The staff is always friendly and professional, and the grounds are always well-kept. We love the occasional food truck visits, the resort style pools, and tennis court. The location is great as it is very central to many restaurants and businesses in Scottsdale. Our lease is almost up and we would love to stay here, but we cannot justify the $400 rent increase, especially with no upgrades or changes in amenities. We understand Camden has a business to run, but it is ridiculous to expect existing tenants to pay this amount. The price of our 2 bed/2 bath apartment for new renters will be $2500. Like I said this is not a renovated or "luxury" apartment. Yes, the Phoenix housing economy is booming. But these prices are not justifiable. The average rent in our zip code is $1900 - a few hundred dollars less than the new price we've been offered at a "discount" We believe Camden should focus on retaining their loyal tenants instead of gouging them with price increases forcing them to move out. Hopefully they don't lose too many renters as they continue to increase prices by hundreds of dollars.

The leasing staff is very attentive and cares about what their residents have to say. The property itself puts a premium on safety and quiet. The maintenance staff is next level. Bakir, the head of maintenance, is thorough and really cares about the work he does. I’d recommend anyone looking for a quiet, well-run apartment complex to check out Camden San Paloma. EDIT: Infrastructure (piping, roofing, interior amenities) are old and seem to break down often. Still a good property though, just wish these things were a bit more buttoned up.

Easily the best management team I’ve ever worked with, between the two Allisons and Nicole. They’re all responsive to occasional maintenance issues and make sure that things are quickly resolved. The premises themselves are well-maintained, with a nice swimming pool and weight room. Overall, it’s a good value for money given the Scottsdale market and I look forward to extending my lease here.
