This is One of Three places in Tucson that I love to visit frequently.. This place was put together very nicely! If you love the water, animals, and peace...This is the place for you. Remember.. It's best in the morning when is cool out. Enjoy and stay hydrated

What a gorgeous, "sweet" spot right off the Interstate in Tucson! Nice informational plaques throughout the park, lots of birds and aquatic wildlife - particularly some very vocal frogs! The 1 mile loop around is a perfect way to end the day and catch a nice sunset 👌

This is a beautiful little oasis in the hot desert of Tucson. You can walk around many ponds and see amazing birds, turtles, rabbits, frogs and just a lot of nature. If you are a birder then this place is a must see while in Tucson.

One of my favorite places in town. Such a wide variety of birds and animal life. We love taking evening walks and taking photos! The trail and grounds are well kept. The reclaimed water scent takes a little getting used to, but it's well worth it!

No it's reclaimed water. There's Rose canyon lake up on My Lemon, but it's closed because of COVID-19. We usually use swimming pools in Tucson.

Is this the Sweetwater that has a male black and white 1 year old cat

Cynthia Smith Linskk | Jul 1, 2019

Hi Cynthia. We don't have recollection of a cat as you describe, but there is a bobcat family on the premises. Many visitors to Sweetwater Wetlands have taken and posted pictures of them. Though they seem to be comfortable when humans are in their vicinity, they are wildlife and as such, can become unpredictable.
