It's clean and the staff is friendly... But they never seem to have more than one register open when I'm there. Not a big deal if you don't mind using self checkout. However I refuse to use self checkout. On the plus side.. the produce always seems fresh.. and they have a good selection of products I need.

I don't appreciate the way they allow customers to treat their staff. I watched an old man verbally abuse two employees. He should have been escorted out of the building and told not to return. People don't deserve to be verbally assaulted at work. The store was reasonably clean, but many items were missing from selves.

I am never going back to Safeway on Tanque Verde Rd and my reason is: Every time I do self checkout, the lady there always comes over like I am stealing. Don't ever speak. Don't ever say nothing. She just watching. Yesterday when I went in was the last straw. It was already 2 to 3 customers in self checkout. They were European decent. She was no where to be seen. I didn't even think she was working that day. When I started at self checkout with my groceries, she popped up out of nowhere. She wasn't watching the people who were there previously. But she made it her business to come over there and watch me ring my items up. She even talked and greeted those other people and not a word to me. I really don't appreciate that. I will never shop at this grocery store again. I don't have the time nor energy to figure out what is wrong with people. And this is the end of this review.

I love this store. I have been shopping here for 17 years. The clerks are all very efficient and friendly. The store is easy to navigate. The produce is high quality and fresh. These days the prices are going up here and everywhere, but I love this store, so I'll keep coming back. 😊
