Ran into Sprouts to get some Memorial Day fixings. As usual, Sprouts has tons of fresh produce. We chose some Red Onions and Red Potatoes for making our potato salad. These worked out great. Also picked up some Hickory Bacon. Very tasty crumbled over the potatoes salad. Great food at a reasonable price.

Vegetables are very fresh and helpful staff. Really best place for organic food. They have added self checkout now. Don't go on Sunday evening or Monday all the fresh veggies will be out.

Generally, I have had a good experience shopping at Sprouts. However, this is a review of the fresh fish from the seafood display case. I was in the mood for cod and they had Alaskan Cod Filets on sale. Never buy fish without first asking to smell and look closely at what your buying. I asked for a filet and it was weighed, wrapped, and handed to me before I even had a chance to ask to see/smell it. When I arrived home I unwrapped the package and whew…the stink nearly made my wife and I vomit! The sales person should never have let it go out the door. I returned the Cod and was given a full refund. I advising the clerk that it would be best that he not not open the package! The stench was horrific! The way to determine if a piece of Cod is good, is to check the surface. If the flesh is smooth and shiny, it’s good. If it’s milky or slimy, it’s spoiled. A fish with this appearance is not suitable for eating. It should be discarded. If it smells fishy, it is bad! Be sure to check it here!

If you are a person of color don’t come here. I can in walked up to the bakery and ordered a sandwich. While I waited for my sandwich I walked around and looked at produce etc. Not even three minutes of walking around and they sent someone from security to check up on me and make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I responded short with a “I’m just waiting for my sandwich.” I had the joy of watching the security do circles around me and continue to watch me. I am a young Latina women and student doing nothing more than buying a sandwich. I am sad and disappointed that I cannot even feel comfortable walking into a sprouts anymore. Prejudice stereotyping is ridiculous and embarrassing. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR.
