Nice place for a walk, but specifically in the spring when the cacti are in bloom. Wear hiking boots and pants if you go off the road or you will ruin the sole of your shoes. The loose cactus spines are brutal.

Followed Alltrails gps out there, and got parked where directed. After, could not find distinguishable trailhead. Took a trail and stayed on it for a couple miles, but saw no trail markings and no Petroglyphs. I might go back and try again. Love Petroglyphs!

Awesome trails, bring lots of water and hiking boots and hats, it's the desert folks. Enjoy! Lots of different trails and you can connect to Skyline Park! Try the quartz mine trail to skyline crest beautiful! Wonderful

This trail head is the main trail; note that there are several others, including the Petroglyphs trail, which is the one I took this time. If you take that one, it’s. 4.1 mile moderate hike. Once you pass the petroglyphs, you’ll see a sign that says not a Trailhead; which is regarding the wash. Keep going crossing the wash. Just be careful, since the trail isn’t marked there, you’ll have to use your trail map or the trail app to be sure you’re on the right one. Go early to avoid more hikers or our slithery friends. Please take lots of water as well.
