I went there at 4 p.m for severe back pain to the point where i could barely stand and i was turned down by the doctor herself. She was very rude and critical as to why i waited so long to go even though the pain hadn’t started until then. She said there was nothing they could do for me as they were closing in an hour. She refused me medical care because she was concerned of the hours. I went to a much better facility and was checked in with x-rays and everything within 30 minutes. After reading these other reviews though i’m glad i got turned down.

I closed the iron gate to our apartment, and it pulled my big toenail off, but not quite all the way. It was very painful, and I was about to pass out. My husband took me to SCMC. At first I was put off by the paperwork and having to pay up front, but once Dr. Kadiaka worked on me, I was aware of the excellent medical care there. She and her staff were caring and did a great job of keeping my pain level low. She gave me a few shots to numb the toe and was able to remove the nail. She bandaged it up. I was very impressed by the medical attention I received. I would have to say that I got excellent care.

Never ever wrote a negative review about a medical practice, but feel I need to warn others. Stay away. The doctor tried to get me do labs using Boston Heart (vs. Quest that was covered by my plan). Her insistence was a little weird, as she kept saying it is a better lab that does more tests than others. Huh? So i researched what is the deal and viola! that outfit is being sued by paying doctors kick-back fees for directing patients to them. On top of that, she was wearing a dirty coat, was constantly calling somebody on the phone when i was in a middle of a sentence, was so rude to her assistants, that i felt very uncomfortable. Then at the checkout she yelled from her office to the receptionist: she has $40 deductible. Well, I already satisfied my entire out of pocket for the year. Just so weird, never saw a doctor behave this way. Oh, and the wait was 1.5 hours despite having an appointment. Needless to say, we are not going back. I feel really bad for people working there, they seem terrified. Below edited after receiving the doctor's response: I never threatened a negative review, I simply called to cancel my follow up appointment -- check with your staff. And I completely understand that you cannot help with my mother's request prior to her arrival to California, this was not an issue. Again, I posted this review to alert others, and to make you aware of your demeanor (obviously, failed at that). I never said you charged me my deductible, but only that you directed your receptionist to check on deductible, an unusual behavior for a doctor in my opinion. I will leave the kick-back issue to your conscience -- I don't have any proof, just the fact that they are in legal trouble because of it. Like I said, never wrote a negative review about a doctor, have utmost respect for the profession, but felt compelled to do it this time. There is a reason this practice has 2 star average. I wish I looked up yelp prior to making an appointment.

Best experience from an urgent care facility I have ever had. Each time I visit, I get nothing less than total professionalism and courtesy. It's a small location and sometimes the wait can get long, but all urgent care places are like that. The difference here is the people. From the doctor to the staff, everyone is there to make sure your visit is productive, helpful and most importantly, focusing on YOU.
