Absolutely gorgeous, especially on a weekday. Plenty of free street parking on a weekday too. Lifeguards are very on the ball.

This is a Beautiful beach. There are quite a few surfers that frequent here. Short walk in the sand to get to the water, once you get off the pavement.

The perfect little Park right next to a great local portion or Newport Beach. Beach part here is almost never busy, two large metered parking lots, and tons of street parking for free. Best to park prior to 10 or after 2 on busy season. Lots free after 6pm

The park itself is not crowded, but parking is hard because everyone is at the beach especially when it's hot inland.

Been playing at west Newport courts for 18yrs. They are public courts, and you do not have to pay. You can park on either River, or Seashore. Parking can be scarice but if you go at the right time no worries. I played there today at about 4pm, and parked on River. Early morning to about 9:30 am surfers take most of the parking spots. Also a few older players will be there in the morning playing doubles, so.....hard to get on. Mon through Fri noon to three pretty much open courts. Weekends are mixed bag, but 4pm usually is good time to show up. There are good cement hand ball courts, that can be used as backboards. Hope I was helpful. Also check out Mariners library courts...they have ligjts. West Newport courts are unlit.
