I used to ride Metrolink 300 all the time to Rialto from here, the station is located right in the heart of downtown, and it's easy to walk or drive to. There are occasionally some homeless people here though, which is a bit annoying.

A very beautiful train station. Clean with a bunch of green trees and beautiful flowers. Metrolink service Monday through Sunday

About 1 hour ride to downtown LA. Not need to worry about crazy traffic.

Nice, and conveniently located train station!

You will need to look on Metrolink's and Metro's websites. The San Bernardino line only goes to Union Station. Metro does go to Van Nuys, but you would have to take the Red Line to North Hollywood and then transfer to the Orange Line. I don't know if the Antelope Valley Metrolink stops in Van Nuys.
Depends on distance, look on the Metrolink website.
No. There's a free lot on Central and street parking is also free. The structure isn't very available and is time limited
Driving or public transportation? Driving take the 10 west to 605 south. Public transportation take the train to the El Monte station. From there you can take the bus. Check Metro's website to see the bus schedules.
Yes. You may have to go to the upper level.
The price goes down if you buy a weekly pass, but it's priced for 7 day. If you take the train Monday through Friday with the weekly pass, it will cost $4.90 one way /9.80 roundtrip. Hope this helps.
Per the website, tomorrow New Year's Eve will be a normal work day schedule, but New Year's Day will be on a Sunday Schedule except on Ventura and the Riverside/Perris Valley lines: https://www.metrolinktrains.com/schedules/new-years-day/
