Water Canyon Campground

Pretty little place just a few miles off hwy. Paved almost the entire way but that last bit up to the FREE campground was knarly rutted, steep, and narrow. Made it up in our 4x4 sprinter RV (170 ext) but it was sketchy. Only able to stay for a quick overnight. Sites were well spaced and fairly level. Would have liked to explore more.

This campground is really awesome ! Just wish there was cell phone reception. Other than that, the views are spectacular, the bathrooms are clean and the grounds are well maintained.

NFS campsite not suitable for long trailers. Short but steep road with a couple sharp turns. But a nice place to camp for the night. No charge when we there in May. No water. No electricity.

Awesome campground. A decent amount of spots, not too busy. Amazing views, bunch of hiking trails, and a great drive up the mountain to check out the observatory and views. A lot of wildlife in this small mountain range. Awesome spot.
