Far and away the most expensive and least convenient experience I have had getting a bike shop to ship a bike for me. It required way more back-and-forth than normal, with unclear and inconsistent communication, and they charged ~2x what I typically paid over the past 5 years or so and ~1.6x what I paid in NYC last month, where labor is also pretty expensive. I interacted with 3-4 people and all but one were pretty friendly and obviously wanted to be helpful (the less helpful person was kind of rude and dismissive and left out some important information when they talked to me, but maybe they were just having a bad day, I don't know). For context, I've shipped maybe 5 bikes a dozen times from 4-5 different cities over the past 5-10 years. That said: They did a beautiful job of packing up my bike. Everything was secure and well-protected. All the parts were easy to find and there was no risk of accidentally throwing something away in the packaging. The bike I was shipping was neither particularly expensive nor fragile (it's a mid-range aluminum CX bike), but I would be comfortable having them pack a high-end carbon road bike. Maybe they just need to offer a less expensive packing service for cheaper or less fragile bikes?

Picked up our ebikes yesterday, just in time for us to head to Angel Island today for a perimeter ride. So excited! You can see in the Mike's Bikes staff how much they love their jobs. Everyone is helpful, friendly, and communicative. We're so happy MB is in our neighborhood, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a store with a good variety of bikes and accessories and a knowledgeable staff who love what they do and enjoy helping their customers.

I brought my completely disassembled bike (an old Cervelo I bought because I always liked the frame, and wanted to have it built to specs that made sense for me), minus some missing pieces to a person named Devynn. Let me just say that ***every business ought to have a Devynn***. The guy is awesome. So kind, so helpful, very knowledgeable, and when I didn't know what to choose he would tell me why a certain choice could work, or what direction I should go into with the selection. The bike looks GREAT now, and he increased my enjoyment of it by installing choices that work well with the type of riding I do, and with the areas that I ride in. He even remembered my name every time I walked in! I took the bike out this weekend and it rides like a dream, I was able to crush it on the hills again, and it sounds amazing! Thanks, Mike's Bikes for having Devynn. I'll bring my other bikes to him too. Not sure if it makes the review more relevant or not, but I am a road cyclist (for over 10 years) more than a mountain bike rider, but I've been on the bike non stop since I was 7 years old.

Ordered from them online before, but this was my first time stepping in to one of the stores. I had a very specific issue with my rear hub’s star ratchet. I was on vacation, sonI didn’t have any serious tools with me, but they were able to help me and they did so very quickly. Thanks!

They have limited capacity and social distancing
probably not
There's only street parking which I believe is free after 6pm and on Sundays and holidays
not here, but definitely at the bike connection
