Really cool and interesting small local wildlife museum! Great for the family on an afternoon when you're looking for something for the kids to do, and fun for adults too.

This place is great for young kids. I brought my 5 and 3 year old and they had a blast. It is small but you can get a good 2 hours of entertainment for the kids if you go through everything.

Pretty interesting place. You get to see a lot of animals up close. You can walk into the eagles inclosure. Lots of staff around that are very friendly and helpful. You even get to touch the turtles and lizards when the staff have them out. It’s also partially a museum so there bones and stuffed wild animals with information about them.

The staff are so helpful and friendly. They take wonderful care of their animals. We've been visiting for nearly 20 years and it's awesome to see the evolving exhibits. Happy to be members and would recommend visiting anytime. These two are my favorite, the red trail hawk and bald eagle. So majestic!

Great for rainy days! Majority of experiences occur indoors. Outdoor facilities are more event specific.
I think he is recovering, and yes you should see him soon.
Ignore the birds begging, it needs to relearn the skills of hunting like it use to.
Either call them or check their website
They only take birds native to this area. I dont know if turkeys fit the bill. I would call them :-)
It looks like they rarely offer free days. There are no current free days scheduled from what I can tell.
We love the bunny when you get to pet him!
Sorry, only California natives.
Yes. We are open from 10am to 2pm on dec 31st.
Call museum
There is an elevator through the doors under the stairs that goes up to the exhibit hall.
Hello! Our Exhibit Hall will open Tuesday, May 4 for a members-only day. Exhibit Hall will open to the general public on Wednesday, May 5. We will be open from 2-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays. Hope to see you soon.
Possibly a juvenile European Starling. Try looking for Google images of one to see if it matches what you saw. Also, I recommend checking out the Facebook Group: ABA What's This Bird?
The gift shop sells some granola bars but other than that, no. No traditional snack bar.
I went with my best friend and we enjoyed it, if you like birds it's a cool place! Howevers there's usually a lot of kids so it's debatable.
Yes, there are millpedes at the Lindsay, but they are not on exhibit. You can ask to see them though.
***its always best to call before taking in a wild animal*** but... If it has yellow feet it’s likely the native Band-tailed pigeon, and Lindsay’s hospital will admit it! If its feet are pink it is a non-native (to CA) species and Lindsay cannot admit it
As far a I know, they'll take mostly all animals...
I'm not exactly sure, your best bet is to call when they are open and ask. Check the website https://lindsaywildlife.org/found-animal/ They suggest keeping the animal in a covered box. Though I'm sure with larger animals there are different protocols. I would think if they are open, they would accept an animal, but call to make sure.
Definitely give Lindsay a call...
Anything is possible, we've got turkeys, hawks & rabbits that run around the neighborhood in San Ramon.
Not free to public. Member and non member pricing.
Lindsay would certainly give it the care it needs.
I would call Lindsay Wildlife directly and ask for advice
Hummingbirds are pretty acclimated to people. If you don't disturb the nest, they'll be fine.
Adults: $10 Seniors 65+: $9 Children 2–17 years: $8
Observing from a distance for at least a half hour is best. Parents could be out gathering food, but should return. Also call Lindsay wildlife yo get more info.
Call the Lindsey Wildlife Hospital for advice and actions to take
Lindsay wildlife museum should take it and they are great at rescue birds and helping them recover
Local guides (people reading your post) don't work for Lindsay. I am sure they will take the eggs, but call first.
The dog is welcome in the surrounding park but not in the museum.
