Great little lace museum cum lace shop. Free (donate a few bucks if you like it!), and Ellie, the lady showing us around, was wonderful.

This is a small but enthusiastically maintained museum of lace. They offer seasonal displays of vintage and antique lace of different styles as well as displaying examples of multiple types of lace made through various methods. They have a small shop with a selection of lace materials and an interesting collection of books on lace-making along with some lace pieces such as Christmas ornaments or lace-edged handkerchiefs or smocked baby dresses and so on. The staff is friendly and helpful and the environment is extremely welcoming. It's a small space, but definitely worth a visit if you enjoy any fiber arts. They also offer space for lace-making and other fiber-related craft meetings and classes. Check their schedule to see when the groups meet.

I read about the annual sale in the newspaper and decided to check it out. I am really looking forward to visiting the exhibits as they are normally and taking classes here!
