Very beautiful hike. Is amazing what all is just above campus of UC Berkeley. Good for dogs too but is a fairly popular hike due to close proximity - so a good sprinkling of people around. Great views also.

A Lovely Cockatiel
This is probably the most fun hiking spot I've been to. The trails are beautiful and really fun to walk through with my two German Shepherds. We are so conked after hiking for an hour. The trails are not just straight paths. They are up and down and sideways. Not an easy trail to walk through if you're out of shape like me. I've gone on hikes with my dogs before and never had a trail made my calves hurt so bad the next few days after. Though, the trail was so fun and immersive that every second was well worth it. My dogs are also just as tired as I was after and they were happy with how fun the trails were. I'm definitely coming here again!

Very steep in places, especially heading east from Berkeley trailheads.
Bikes are not allowed on trails in Claremont regional Park. Although the rules are broken now and then.
We're not supposed to walk our puppies without their leash there, but I see people doing it all the time.
