I generally like SAIA, but one recent shipment went very poorly, and I attribute the poor service to the holidays. Pickup was scheduled on Tuesday for Wednesday; but it didn't pick up until Friday. Two day transit. The shipment got stuck in the LA area then eventually went to the wrong terminal. Now, it has been sitting at the terminal for three days with no movement and SAIA just keeps telling me it's going to be an additional day and an additional day and an additional day. Now, the EARLIEST it could deliver is 4 days late. I am stuck now talking to customer service every day, trying to get to terminal managers, OS&D clerks, linehaul dispatchers because the job they promise to their customers they are to jammed up to do. Once the winter is over, we'll ship with SAIA again, but for now, there's no way.

Used Saia for LTL shipments. Rick O'Dell is the current president and Saia has a 100% rating on claims. Residential delivery was evidence of above requirements. Saia has a mobile app (yes really!) Shipments on time. May there be a day with clouds, beautiful clear and open highways offering many opportunities to photograph this service oriented carrier. Love the bridge shots which isolate and compliment. Schedule and track online.

I have never experienced such a horrible freight provider in my life. They had my shipment basically hostage for 12 days and refused to deliver it on my appointment date 3 times. Then when I tried to get a truck to pick up from their dock, they sent the freight out with a driver!!!! This place needs to be shut down immediately.

I'm really upset about these guys. I scheduled pick up and they told me the ETA would be 4pm. I said OK. I wait for a whole day and nobody showed up. I called the customer service, they asked me is 5pm OK. I said OK. I have no choice, it's Friday. I don't want to leave the shipment over to Monday. OK, 5 pm, I called again, the assistant try to reach the terminal 4, 5 times and finally, 5:30pm he connected tieh them and he told me the driver need at least 45 mins to get here. Because the traffic. I know it's LA here, traffic always horrible, but 2 hours?! Are you kidding me? it's only 5 miles from the terminal to my warehouse!!! And you guys just keep delay without calling me. I have to call you guys!!! Sucks

Office is open until 9 but the warehouse is open until 3 o'clock in the morning in order to get your afraid appointments only until 9
