10 years ago this place was amazing for fishing. Me and my hubby would go all the time to fly fish. Now the fly fishing pond is a complete mess, we even called to make sure it was fishable and was lied to. When we got there the pond is chuck full of moss and there was no way we could fish it. We drove 45 min to have to use the small ponds cause our kids were with us and wanted to fish. Then paid 40 dollars for tiny fish that the fillets were terribly cut. Will not be coming back for fishing. I’m sure the venue is pretty for events but fishing… skip this place.

Beautiful venue for a wedding!!! Staff was super friendly, and Tarah was so helpful with answering questions and being available when needed. Payment plans were super easy and the whole process went so smoothly. Thank you for helping make such a beautiful day for our daughter!! I will definitely recommend this venue!

Great fun for the kids. Good way to get them into fishing.

Amazing staff, numerous ponds to choose from, poles and buckets provided at no charge. No entrance fee! They will clean and fillet your trout for a really small fee. You do have buy the trout you caught as you are not allowed to catch and release. Public restrooms are provided which are NOT portapotty! Really enjoyed our time here! Highly recommend for family fun!

It ends up being a fair price... Not the best. You could get cheaper fish by the pound if you catch a sale at a grocery store. But, it's not about getting fish to eat, it's the easy, fun fishing. The prices are kind of bell-curved; The real monstrous fish get pretty pricy. Also, you're gonna want to catch more than one fish, right? The way it's set up is there are 3 fishing ponds for different size categories. Personally, I'd stay away from the third pond, with the biggest fish. As fun as catching a huge one is, it's more fun to catch a few, and that's what's going to sucker punch you in the wallet. Catch-and-release is prohibited, if you catch it, you keep it. Instead, go to the smaller ponds. Catch more fish, have more fun, spend less money, and the price per pound of fish is better in that range, I believe.
It is a fun place to fish
Yes, I would give them a call for details: https://coldspringstroutfarm.com/activities/category/live-sales/
Also, the different ponds have different size fish so you can kind of control cost that way.
The biggest ones that you can take home to eat are around 18-20 inches in length (some are probably larger). However, there are fewer of these fish because they move them from pond to pond based on their size, and the largest fish are the ones who haven't been caught yet whereas some of the smaller fish are easier to catch.
They have a pond with very large fish that is catch and release
You would probably have to call and ask, but I believe its 16.
No, and all equipment and bait are provided. They clean and fillet the fish too. It's a fun and great way to fish!
