We ended up staying here for 2 nights midweek and it was great. My one complaint is the pit toilets, at least the ones closest to us. Really stinky. We travel a lot and I've been in a lot of porta potties and pit toilets, these are bad. But the lady in the office was really nice, it was great to have showers and laundry available and the location is beautiful and peaceful. It had a very zen feel with the eagles and gulls and the water. We would definitely return if in the area, particularly midweek. We have a feeling the weekend might get more kids and maybe a little rowdier.

My wife and I stayed at this campground in 2010 and again in 2017. We are from Texas. Have reservations coming up again after the 4th. My wife is so excited. This is her favorite spot to camp in all of Alaska.

The campground is in such a beautiful area. It has so much potential. I know they cater to fishing charters. However, for what is charged for the sites the showers should be clean. The men's showers was disgusting. The women's was not much better and needs updating bad. The staff was friendly. Not worth the cost though.

Awesome spot right on the river. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us and we're very kind. We chartered a fishing guide, they provided gear and we landed 4 salmon quick. The campground is laid back, showers were the best we found on our 1000 mile loop. Got to hang out with bald eagles also. We will be bringing the kids next year.
