It's the best Ace Hardware within about 300 miles. Next closest one is in Point Hope, and that route is only flown once a week, so it's not a realistic option. You'd be better off ordering parts from Anchorage.

I had to stop in to at least say I had been to the northerly most ACE hardware store... ACE is the place of the helpful hardware folks.. I love it there. That place Barrow is magical. Especially in the summer... 6/21
