The appliance portion of Sears is working but its hard to find the craftsman repair service anywhere close to midtown or Raytown KCMO

I called and set up a repair appointment, as the heating element went out in my oven. I was told I'd have to pay a trip charge fee of $89 plus cost of part. I had to sign for the repair before it was done. The repair man took a total of 15 minutes to hook up his diagnostic tool to confirm it was the baking/heating element and to replace it. I was charged $156 for labor! So a total of $293 for a $46 repair, with only a 90 day warranty! When I called customer service to find out why the labor cost was so high, I was told they have no control over how much their repairmen charge. Really? No wonder Sears is going out of business. They are crooked!!!

Very unhappy with the service on my icemaker. He said I needed a plumber to fix the problem and when they adjust the water flow it runs into the icemaker tray. Never has worked like it should since I bought it from Sears. And they never want to fix it.

Worst experience EVER! First appointment didn’t fix the dryer. Made another appointment for them to come out in Wednesday (the day before thanksgiving) they felt it was okay to reschedule my appointment for Friday. I was leaving town that morning and wouldn’t be in town. So I spent all day Wednesday waiting on them and had to go to spend my evening at the laundry mat. They were supposed to come back out today between 10-2 I asked if we could be the very first appointment the lady said yes (without telling me that it wasn’t 100% Guaranteed). I called to check on the status of the technician and was informed he would be here between 1:15 and 3:45. Worst experience ever as I stated before. Only great part about my experience was Melissa in Customer service.
