The sales associate (Evelyn) was very helpful and yet not overbearing. We really appreciated her assistance!

Nice selection in shoes. I was actually hoping to find a dress I initially saw @ Oak Park but they didn't have it. The dress at Oak Park had a damaged zipper & they would give only a 10% discount. It would require well more than that for a repair at the seamstress. Also it would be a final sale, not returnable. For the price of the dress, that was not a fair exchange!

For the experience of 1, 06/17, that is due to the perfume section. As we entered the area we were greeted & asked what we were looking for. My mother asked a young man if they have the new release of the Versace brand. When he asked her again, her exact words, " Do you have the new Versace?". My understanding was that he did not know. When he turned to ask, an older woman came up to him (employee 1) and proceeded to say, " We don't have a brand called New Versace but we do have a brand called Versace." We were shocked-was it her assumption that as a POC, my mother and I cannot speak English? My mother shook her head & I said, " I believe we are asking for the latest release, not a brand name called 'New Versace'." Of course, there was a change in her demeanor afterward. She said "Well, I don't know about that, but you can have a look over here." We passed the YSL collection and were led to the Giorgio Armani selection from her counter. She said that this was very well-liked and most people bought this. She asked if my mom would like to smell a sample & my mom said no. She proceeded to urge my mother, & another employee (employee 2) came & said she loves this release. My mother said she doesn't prefer Giorgio Armani & I said neither does the person we are buying for. When she continued on, we reluctantly smelled a sample and my mother still said no. We could see the irritation in Employee 1's face & prepared to leave. Employee 2 then said, "How about YSL?". My mother said no- this woman persisted saying "Not even a small smell?". We shook our heads no & were set to leave. It wasn't until a third employee appeared, asked us what we are specifically looking for, that we received the help we needed. Yana was very helpful, and polite, and immediately led us to the Versace selection on a separate counter. She was lovely to work with, had the care & attentive service of 5/5. She noticed a complimentary travel bag had a mark before we did, & gave us a new one. As we were ringing up items at employee 1/2's counter, we were asked if we would like some samples. Employee 1, handed two over, & upon seeing that one was Giorgio Armani, and the other was a spice bomb brand my mother said, "No thank you we don't want this one." Employee 1 said," Well if you don't like that one you could just give it back". Her disdain was clear as she crossed her arms and walked away after taking the sample. Yana came up with two samples and said it was no problem and she could exchange them for one brand we liked and immediately set to do so. When she left, Employee 2 asked my mom if she didn't like the spice bomb one either to which she said no, it's not a scent she likes. She then proceeded to say, "Well we just added those samples to be nice, & you could just give that one back." We did. If 'nice' is the customer service of both of the older women, then I am not surprised that many people prefer elsewhere for their fragrance shopping. We said thank you but it's not what we prefer. Employee 2 seemed slightly annoyed & walked away to speak to Employee 1. Did I forget to mention that when we came back with Yana, Employee 2 took a peek into what we bought, and proceeded to speak to Employee 1 as they both looked over at us, all when Yana had left to receive a single sample from a brand we preferred? It was after seeing what was bought that Employee 2 also stated they were just trying to be nice about the samples. I would like to say my mother and I had a great, overall experience due to the excellent care from Yana, the lovely employee selling Shiseido products, and the employees in the cosmetic section. We were first stopped by an employee who asked what we were looking for and directed us accordingly. The employee across the Shiseido counter also assisted us. All three women were accommodating and immediately attentive. The employees in the shoe, tie, & watch section were excellent; both men and woman were also attentive to the details & specifics. Safe to say, it's obvious why the fragrance section is always empty, and we will not return.

Had to return a mail order item for my elderly mom. The person at the perfume counter introduced mom to some scents, while a pleasant customer service rep handled the return. Awesome.
