It was county fair week, lots to do then enjoyed the shows.

Citizens of cities and towns are not welcome at this fair. The office personnel coordinating the event will call your polio-surviving grandmother "a cripple." They'll disparagingly ask, "How do you like locking your doors every night?" Don't they know it's cheaper to buy a bullet than it is to replace a glass window?!

We meet here as a community to celebrate various events. Lots of room and buildings available, plus plenty of parking.

I went for the Annual Classic Car Cruise and Fireman's Jubilee. The park is very nice for such a small community. There were pavilions to picnic at including grills. Nice paved trails made is easy for wheel chairs to go anywhere in the park. There is also camping available for RVs and tents. A big playground for kids. They have a swimming pool but because of the lack of state funds my husband and I were told they haven't been able to open it. While we were there they had live music, craft vendors , games, the firemen were putting on a battle of the barrel contest. There was a rock climbing wall and other activities too. We were told the following week the park would be hosting the Clarion County Fair and in August a Rodeo in their outdoor arena. The rodeo sounds fun ! Weather permitting we might go. Oh, although the day was pretty hot when we went there was plenty of shade trees and park benches available that we were pretty comfortable.
