A beautiful old church with a small diverse and very friendly congregation. Very kind welcome people and a great live band!

I'm happy with a church that welcomes anyone and everyone, regardless of their background or status in the community. This church has members that don't have the luxury of a roof over their head at night. All of our members are important to us. We feed those who need help with food, clothe them, and anyone that needs food or clothing is welcome to what we offer (they don't need to be members, but we welcome any who have the interest.) If you would like to try a church that practices and preaches the scriptural messages of caring for the poverty stricken in the community, this is one that does. Check it out on downtown Oceanside. Oh, and clearly we are preaching God's word and doing His work, becauss we seem to have angered a couple of folks. It happens. See if you can pick out their reviews.

I have been Attending church for many years and have been quit satisfied with the teaching and worship π and then I was invited one day to attend First Christian with a friend β₯οΈHave you ever felt that breath you release when you finally lay your burden downβ€οΈ Letβs just say I spend many sundays with that joyful tear in my eye and a peace in my heart β₯οΈ The pastor Jason Coker is awesome but there is something else there β₯οΈππThe Holy Spirit π The saying it only takes a few to make a difference is alive at FIRST CHRISTIAN ! They have accomplished so much in such a short time itβs obvious to me whoβs really leading this Church and thatβs the way it should be CHRIST !!! Just a little old church with some people who want to really follow CHRIST !! Thanks Pastor Jason Coker

My family and I have been attending this Church since Easter. The community is a diverse mix from all different backgrounds and I love the message that Pastor Jason sets of being good Christians to everyone and that we need all different types of people in our life to challenge us and makes us better people. The congregation may be small but it is full of lovely human beings. The live music is amazing and has a very soulful bluegrass feel. I love that this Church takes care of the homeless right at its doors. They really set a good example for the kind of Christians I want my kids to be by doing rather than just preaching. The pastor Jason is also a college professor and my husband and I love listening to his thoughtful sermons and deep insight. He freely admits that everyone is not always going to agree with everything he says, but his general messages of treating others well is always present in every sermon. I have gone to many Churches where I feel like I am going through a routine or the preacher/pastor/ priest gets too political. I have finally found a Church that fits.

We have some nice trees near the entrance that people can lock up their bikes. Also, we have a hand railing near the outside ramp that goes downstiars that people often lock their bikes at. We have never had a prbolem with stolen bikes. Hope that helps!
First Cristian Church does have group night. Go to there website online.
