We visited in October and had a fantastic experience. Diane, who works at the visitor center, was so knowledgeable. She is truly a treasurer and a great asset to the entire region. She gave us great recommendations for our whole trip, including wineries with excellent food, wineries on the vineyard itself, hikes, and restaurants. We used her advice even when in neighboring Red Mountain!

A great asset to the Yakima Valley! Lots of local information, and a wonderful staff. Great suggestions for whatever might be your interests!

I've lived here for two years, but it wasn't until an out-of-town visitor took me with him to the Visitor Center that I discovered all it's wonders. They have wine and beer tour maps, hiking trail guides, local event calendars, gifts, cards, local crafts (including jewelry), locally made food baskets and much more. And the people who work there are so friendly and knowledgeable!

Best source of printed map, events and travel guides for the Yakima Valley , cities in WA. State, Oregon, Idaho, Montana. The gift shop is great with local products and wines plus wine tasting.

I'm sorry to say we don't have a Blimpies in town. But, there are plenty of places to watch sports! Try the Sports Center and 2nd Street Grill, both located downtown.
Hi Frances! The local airport here in town is the Yakima Air Terminal. We have flights daily from Seattle via Alaska Airlines.
You need to call the Yakima Valley Information Center directly and ask them. I only visited this place to gather information regarding places to see and things to do.
