What a cool experience. My teens enjoyed it. Open air visual of glass blown techniques. Amazing art pieces from different artist. Loved how everyone was super kind and answered many questions.

A group of three of us went for a hands on class and loved it! We each got to make a paperweight, guided step by step. The staff was amazing and so nice! The atmosphere was open and fun. Casual onlookers are welcome to watch the artists or classes work at any time. There's even some seating if you want to watch for a while. Highly recommend!

Looks like an interesting place. In addition to the glassworks, where you can get a relatively inexpensive class, they also have some nice pieces for sale in the gifts shop, by local artists. There's a nice bleacher seat setup in front of the shop, if you just want to watch them work.

Hi Harve, We have started our Make Your Own sessions to experience hot glass in a hands-on way. We offer these sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. They can be booked online at www.barrioglassworks.com or by calling us at 760.696.3288. You can book the session as a 1 on 1, or in groups of 2, 3, 4 or more. When Covid is further behind and we are comfortable with people blowing on blow pipes and working in close proximity, we will expand our sessions and classes. Probably later in the summer. Hi Stephanie, Are you referring to torch tips for flame working? We are soft glass blowers, not Boro workers. Please clarify. Thanks!
Yes we can! We do it all the time Our sessions are for family and friends pods, so we can accommodate your group at the same time. We do that by using 2 work benches with 1/2 the group on 1 and the other 1/2 on the second bench. You can call us to schedule (760-696-3288) or book a session for 4 online and add a comment that it is for a group of 6 (or 7 or 8). Looking forward to seeing you and teaching you about hot glass.
