Bryan, the head coach and owner is one of the nicest and most humble people I've ever met. My partner and I visited from London and were staying nearby so we were only there a few times but Bryan made sure we felt at home every time we went. It's a great place to start martial arts because the coaches are so patient, but equally, if you are a competitive athlete in the sport there are plenty of well accomplished fighters in the gym also. Beautiful muay Thai, beautiful people. Hope to go back again. Thanks for everything Boxing Works! Alanna & Greg

Boxing Works is great! Its clean and nice and the people are super friendly and encouraging. Its big enough to have equipment such as heavy bags and an actual ring, but small enough to be intimate and to get personal instruction. Its convenient from many neighborhoods on the west side. Muay Thai is so much fun and a great work out. I started just wanting to get some exercise and lose weight but after a month or so I was totally hooked and I became much more into the culture and the martial art. Ajarn Bryan is really cool and approachable. He is an amazingly skilled fighter with incredible timing and grace.

Nothing but friendly, focused, fun loving folk!!! This gym is in a league all there own with a real family friendly, family atmosphere you will leave this gym amazed and a LOT more dangerous!!! Boxing Work's instructors are champions in there respected arts many of whom are still competing. The wall of belts and trophies speak for themselves, but this place is much much more than just a fight gym, or a place to learn to protect yourself, or get in shape. You will soon see that thanks to the amazing people Boxing Works, maybe even without your realizing it becomes home. It did for me.

Highly recommend Boxing Works in Hermosa Beach!! As a female beginner when I first trained here it was intimidating to go to a real gym but Ajarn Bryan Popejoy is super friendly and all levels are accommodated. Everyone treats each other with respect and leaves their ego at the door. Also great facilities for a varied workout. If you want to try Thai Kickboxing this is definitely the best place to start!!

There's a youth and adult program. I have my son there and I attend the morning and evening classes. It's awesome.
